2016 RCP Article
Share
Abortion, legal or illegal, is an integral part of women’s reproductive health and is one of the most common reasons for pregnancy loss. However, the legal and regulatory environment surrounding abortion differs by country, and the United States stands out as a country that has the highest reported abortion rates in the developed world. What are the different contexts of legal abortion access and why does this access correlate with lower abortion rates?
This RCP Article describes how different abortion rights and regulatory environments may determine the likelihood of abortion and how to apply this information to reproductive health policy.
